A curated desert retreat for two, inviting travellers to slow down, reconnect and reset
April 13, AlUla, Saudi Arabia – Banyan Tree AlUla, nestled within the striking landscape of Ashar Valley, unveils Banyan Tree Connections, a private two-night wellbeing experience designed for two. Now open for bookings and available for stays from 1 May 2026, the experience offers a purposeful escape for travellers seeking space, stillness and deeper connection.
Designed to unfold over two nights, the programme follows a considered sequence of experiences, guiding guests through movement, mindfulness and relaxation in a structured yet unhurried way. Responding to a growing shift towards more intentional, experience-led travel, the programme offers an accessible escape centred on wellbeing and quality time together. Set against AlUla’s expansive desert and rock formations, the surroundings provide a natural backdrop for the stay.
At Banyan Tree AlUla, this is brought to life through a curated programme guided by Banyan Group’s “eight pillars of wellbeing”, spanning movement, rest, nourishment, mindfulness and connection. Rather than a traditional retreat, the experience unfolds at an unhurried pace allowing each element to build naturally over two days.
Guests start with a personalised wellbeing consultation, setting the tone for the days ahead. Movement and breath come together in a Yoga Duo session, followed by a Sound Healing Meditation designed to quiet the mind and create space for reflection. A Massage Learning Workshop introduces simple, intuitive techniques that encourage connection through shared care – small rituals that can be carried beyond the stay.
Moments of pause are balanced with deeper restoration, including a 90-minute Time Together Spa Treatment, before the experience transitions into an evening of stargazing beneath AlUla’s expansive night sky.
Dining follows the same philosophy, with a sharing-style dinner designed to bring guests closer, alongside curated, health-conscious refreshments available throughout. Thoughtful gestures, from a Welcome Bonding Ritual Gift on arrival to a Farewell Gift on departure, add a quiet sense of continuity to the experience.
“Banyan Tree Connections reflects a growing need for time, presence, and meaningful connection,” said Bhavesh Rawal, Area General Manager of Banyan Tree AlUla. “In a setting like Ashar Valley, there is a natural sense of stillness that allows guests to pause and reconnect, with each experience designed to feel considered and personal.”
Designed for couples, close friends or family members, the experience aligns with a broader shift in how wellness is being approached across the region – moving away from one-off treatments towards immersive journeys that nurture both mind and relationships.
Banyan Tree Connections is now live and available for bookings starting from 1 May 2026 onwards, with rates starting from SAR 2,700 per night (excluding VAT and fees). Guests can reserve the experience by selecting their preferred room category and rate plan and adding Banyan Tree Connections prior to checkout.
