Two-day edition brought competitive gaming, digital creativity and family entertainment to Dammam, with more than 800 participants and prizes worth SAR 200,000

Dammam, Saudi Arabia – October 26, 2026: HUAWEI AppGallery has concluded the first Dammam edition of AppGallery Gamers Cup Esports Carnival KSA Season 2 held at Westfield Dammam, which welcomed thousands of visitors on September 17 and 18.

The free, two-day carnival combined competitive and casual gaming with digital creativity and live entertainment. More than 800 participants registered for the event, with female players accounting for around 30% of it. Visitors competed for cash prizes and premium gaming equipment from a total prize pool worth SAR 200,000, while families and casual players joined a broader programme of interactive experiences.
The Dammam edition marked the latest stop in the year-long AGC Esports Carnival series and continued the event’s expansion beyond Riyadh. By bringing the carnival to communities across the Kingdom, HUAWEI AppGallery and its partners are developing AGC as a recurring national platform where gamers, creators, publishers and families can connect.
Players competed across leading mobile titles, including top battle royale game PUBG MOBILE, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Yalla Ludo and Candy Crush. The Esports Arena hosted tournaments throughout the two days, giving participants of different experience levels the opportunity to compete for prizes and test their skills in front of a live audience.
Beyond the tournaments, GoPaint attracted strong participation, with particular interest from children. The digital art competition invited participants to explore their creativity using HUAWEI devices, including the newly launched HUAWEI WATCH KIDS. The Play & Win zone offered casual mini-games and instant rewards, while live DJ performances, gaming demonstrations and family-friendly entertainment created an inclusive festival atmosphere across Westfield Dammam.
William Hu, Managing Director of Huawei Consumer Business Group Cloud Service, Middle East and Africa Ecosystem Development and Operation Center, said: “The response to AGC Esports Carnival in Dammam reflects the growing enthusiasm for gaming in Saudi Arabia and the value of creating more opportunities for communities to participate. Through AppGallery, we are making gaming and esports more accessible to experienced competitors, casual players, creators and families. As AGC reaches more cities, we look forward to connecting gamers, developers and partners while contributing to the continued development of the Kingdom’s gaming ecosystem.”
Abdulrahman Alotaibi, Senior Marketing Director at Cenomi Centers, said: “We were pleased to welcome AGC Esports Carnival to Westfield Dammam and see thousands of visitors come together over the two days. Events like this reflect our focus on creating destinations that go beyond shopping, bringing together entertainment, technology and experiences that connect families and communities. Working with HUAWEI AppGallery allowed us to bring an exciting esports experience to Dammam, while reinforcing our commitment to offering diverse and engaging experiences across our destinations.”
The successful Dammam edition builds on previous AGC Esports Carnival events in Riyadh and reinforces the series’ ambition to make esports and gaming experiences more accessible across Saudi Arabia. AGC will continue to reach more cities across the Kingdom, bringing competitive gaming together with technology, creativity and community entertainment, with further updates on upcoming editions to follow.
